Reina de Bastos / Queen of Wands

Mara Lea Brown

Watercolor on paper

5.5 x 9.5 inches

$250

The Queen, friendly, chaste,

loving, honorable.

Enthusiastically

she carries the baton, her scepter

in the form of a brush;

vital, fertile the vision of her, with that

she paints her dreams of justice,

rich in color and possibility.

She comfortable on her mobile throne,

she is happy, well loved in her kingdom.

Queen of Wands, flip card:

She is economical, uncertain of whether;

sometimes jealous, unfaithful, cheating.

She paints her fantastic visions

to avoid boredom

of her tyrannical power,

she reduced to her throne

wheeled, stiff, uncomfortable.
